The JUCC Leadership Institute aims to develop
• Interpersonal Skills of Institute Members
• Management and Leadership Skills of Institute Members
• Big Picture Awareness of Higher Ed and IT
• Cross Institutional Awareness and Networking
• Leadership Success through self awareness skills and commitment to self improvement.
The residential Leadership Institute has very clear and strong focus on “soft-skills” (e.g., personnel and performance management, career management, emotional intelligence, teamwork, managing change) rather than technical skills and on Universities and the roles individuals play supporting the mission and strategic directions of the higher education sector.
The JUCC brings together IT professionals of its member institutions and provides them a trusted platform to exchange on challenges and issues, policies and good practices, new technologies and developments of delivering ICT services. We inculcate a culture of knowledge exchange and sharing and strongly encourage our colleagues to share information, experience, expertise, ideas and opinions.
We also invite contributions and sharing of knowledge and expertise of external members, from higher education institutions of the region and overseas networking organisations as well as from the industry. In order to contribute constructively to further strengthen knowledge exchange and sharing, the JUCC organises various workshops and seminars for colleagues to share experiences and best practices
