JUCC SIGS

Objectives

The objective of the Special Interest Group on Information Security (SIGS) is to provide a forum where members can:

  • Discuss and exchange ideas on best management practices for securing IT information in a university environment. Special emphasis will be given to the contents of Information Security Policies (for defining security governance) and the security plans (for executing specific actions including issuing guidelines, setting standards or strategies, etc. to enforce or comply with these security policies).
  • Sharing information on security products and the experience on using these products.
  • Jointly develop, evaluate, and/or implement security hardware, software, policies, guidelines, etc. for some or all member institutions.

JUCC SIGS Group Web Site

In view of the increasing importance and complexity of security in the IT area, a JUCC SIGS Group Web Site is set up for the sharing of security related information among JUCC member institutions.

It is the responsibility of all to maintain security. The SIGS hopes that, through shared information of this site and the SIGS group, IT services providers and services users of all JUCC member institutions can enjoy a secure and healthy IT environment.

You are welcome to share your security knowledge or send their comments through SIGS members.
