What is HARNET?

HARNET is the wide area network which links up the campus networks of the eight tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.

Guideline for Access to Internet Through JUCC HARNET

HARNET is under the management of the Joint Universities Computer Centre (JUCC),
a joint organization of the Computer Centres of the eight member institutions:

• The University of Hong Kong
   
• The Chinese University of Hong Kong
   
• The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
   
• City University of Hong Kong
   
• Hong Kong Baptist University
   
• Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
   
• Lingnan University
   
• The Hong Kong Institute of Education
  

As a commitment to the community, the JUCC also provides network connection to HARNET to non-profit-making organization of an academic or research nature for their access to local and global academic and research high-speed networks. The JUCC is now providing network connectivity to the following affiliate members and network members.
